The Pfeiffer family of Freetown lost their home and belongings in a house fire Sept. 11.

A side-by-side and Jeep benefit ride has been organized with all proceeds being given to the family.

The ride through the western part of Jackson County will start at noon Sept. 24 at Pewter Hall, 850 W. Sweet St., Brownstown. This is a freewill donation ride, and registration will begin at 10:30 a.m.

There also will be a silent auction, food and music.

If anyone is interested in donating clothing to the family, a list of sizes is available by clicking on the discussion tab on the Facebook event page at fb.me/e/25Aw69Cnk. The family also could use clothes baskets or totes.
