Indiana participating in National College Application Week

Six Indiana colleges or universities will waive application fees during Indiana’s College Application Week, which begins Monday and ends Sept. 30, according to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

Another 33 colleges have reported free applications year-round.

College Application Week is part of Learn More Indiana’s annual College GO! initiative that takes place each August through November with information and resources designed to help Hoosier K-12 students explore and plan for education beyond high school.

The official kickoff to College GO! is the last full week in September, coinciding with College Application Week.

Friday is #WhyApply Day, which is a social media campaign encouraging the public to share why it’s important to apply to college.

“College GO! is an opportunity for students of all ages — from kindergarten to high school seniors — to learn the value of education and training beyond high school, explore career pathways and discover the variety of Indiana postsecondary options,” said Chris Lowery, the Indiana commissioner for higher education.
