Library announces programming for adults and teens

The Jackson County Public Library is offering programs for adults in September.

Those programs include:

-2 p.m. Sept. 13: Make nature bookmarks using pressed flower at the Medora Library. Registration required by Sept. 8.4

-4:30 p.m. Sept. 14: Make a glass bead lantern jar at the Crothersville Library. Registration required by Sept. 12.

-10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17: View a Lego Minecraft cityscape display in the Seymour library meeting room (all ages invited).

-9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Voter Registration Day. Jackson County Clerk Melissa Hayes will be in the Seymour Library lobby to assist with voter registration or answer questions about registration status.

-2 p.m. Sept. 23: Information Services Assistant Trina Roark will demonstrate how to harvest and save seeds at the Seymour library. Registration required by Sept. 22.

Programs offered for teens ages 12 to 19 will meet in the Seymour Teen Scene unless otherwise noted.

-4 p.m. Sept. 8: Learn to make oodles of noodles: Fancy Ramen. Registration required by Sept. 6.

-4 p.m. Sept. 12: Make a milky tea keychain. Registration required by Sept. 9.

-4 p.m. Sept. 15: Gamers ages 13 to 18 in Seymour, Crothersville and Medora are invited to join the JCPL Teen Discord Server for Battle Royale Extreme.

-4 p.m. Sept. 22: Teens in grades 6 to 12 are invited to learn about rescued hedgehogs at Spikey Boiz at the Seymour Library. Registration required by Sept. 20.

-4 p.m. Sept. 27: Seymour teen specialist Hillary Pacheco will lead the Teen Scene Reading book discussion about “Shatter Me” by Tahereh Mafi.
