All women are invited to Women’s Poetry and Prose Open Mic Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at The Magic of Books Bookstore and 1852 Cafe, 115 W. Second St., Seymour.

The event will be hosted by Skye Nicholson, author of “Unexpected Alchemy.”

Come just to listen or bring poetry and/or prose to read aloud. Attendees are welcome to share original work or a piece from their favorite poet.

Writings should speak to the experience of womanhood and be approximately 3 to 5 minutes in length.

Donations in the amount of $10 would be appreciated or pay what you can.
