Everett Lee Scrogham, 94, Medora, entered heaven’s gate on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his home. Mr. Scrogham was born on November 15, 1927, the son of James Madison Scrogham and Ivy Mae Stillabower Scrogham in Johnson County, Indiana. Everett married Raegene Robertson Scrogham on October 14, 1950 in New Bellsville, IN.

Everett served in the United States Army as well as the Army Reserves. He worked at Cosco (Dorel) in Columbus, Indiana for 40 years as a manufacturing specialist, while also doing construction in the evenings and weekends. Everett was of the Baptist faith where he served as a deacon and Sunday school superintendent.

Mr. Scrogham was a gentle man with a gentle heart and loved his family with his whole heart. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and most of all riding bicycles with them.

Mr. Scrogham is survived by his wife, Raegene; his children, Sharon Thompson, Terry Scrogham, Donna (Jon) Lee, Beverley (Tim) Moore, and Stacie (Brian) Wheatley; 16 grandchildren, Robert Scrogham, Troy Scrogham, Dayna Thompson (Stacey), Andrew (Lindze) Thompson, Amy (James) Jenkins, Brandi (Aaron) Staley, Dillon (Kristy) Madden, Macy (Tyler) Gray, Zachary Moore, Timothy (Mandy) Moore, Jalin Scrogham, Lindze Scrogham, Justice (Brandon) Kennedy, Haley Lee, Jansen Hensley, and Emilee Wheatley; 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Larry Scrogham, granddaughter, Patrisha Scrogham; great granddaughter Shelby Boggs; and sisters Nettie, Mollie, and Catherine; and brothers Omer and Ed.

Friends and family may call at Winklepleck &Brock Funeral Home, Brownstown, IN on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Roy Hendershot officiating. Burial will follow at McKinney Cemetery, Brown County, IN.

Memorials may be made to the Vallonia First Baptist Church through Winklepleck &Brock Funeral Home, Brownstown, IN.
