FREETOWN

Alene Woosley, 90, of Freetown passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in her home with her family at her side. She was born September 18, 1931 in Round Hill, Kentucky to George Willis and Hellen Merideth Willis. She was retired from Arvins Inc. in Greenwood.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Smallwood, Norma Cunningham, Glenda Goins, Brenda Goforth and Teresa Brown; a son, Shelby Woosley; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; 10 great great great grandchildren; 3 great great great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oval Glendon Woosley; a son, Charles Glendon Woosley; a sister, Bertha Martin; and three brothers, Jay, Conrad and Clayton Willis.

Alene had attended the Freetown Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, walking, sewing, building things, quilting and cooking.

No services are planned at this time, Alene will laid to rest in the family cemetery in Kentucky. Arrangements are under the direction of Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville.
