Seymour BZA to consider four variances

The Seymour Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers at city hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

Agenda items include Jane Schlatterer requesting a variance at 134 E. Brown St. and Madison Brackemyre requesting a variance at 400 Calvin Blvd., both to up a fence. They both live on corner lots and are restricted as to where they can put a fence up.

Also, Ben and Michelle Allen are requesting a variance at 605 Wendemere Drive from the required 10% side setback of 8.9 feet to be at a 5-foot setback to construct a 24-by-25-foot carport in the backyard, and Kenneth and Darlene Claycamp are requesting a variance at 441 Buckeye St. from the required 20-foot rear setback to be at 7 feet for the construction of an 8-by-8-foot deck off of the back of the house.
