Betty Jean Griffin 87, of Seymour, Indiana passed away on Aug. 11, 2022, at her home. Betty was born in Reddington, Indiana on Aug. 30, 1934, to the late Elmer and Anna (Akins) Ritz Dean.

On Aug. 30, 1952, in Seymour, she married Frank W. “Bud” Griffin, who preceded her in death Nov. 25, 1998.

Betty was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing word search, watching the Big Bang Theory and British comedies, and her cats. Most of all she loved taking care of family and friends.

Betty is survived by her daughters; Carolyn Ann Griffin, Jennifer Jean Arnholt, her son Daniel Lee (Carol) Griffin, grandchildren; Joshua (Mechelle) Griffin, Nathaniel (Dezarea) Griffin, Michaela Griffin, Paige (Shawn) Williams, Matthew (Caitlin Zabecki) Arnholt, Michael (Amy Frye) Arnholt, fourteen great grandchildren, one half-brother Kenneth Ritz, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband Bud Griffin, her parents Elmer and Anna Dean, her daughter Debbie Griffin, her son Michael David Griffin, five half-brothers, and one-half sister.

Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Monday Aug. 15, 2022, from 4-7 pm and on Tuesday Aug. 16, 2022, from noon until time of the service at 1 pm with. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
