Louis “Poddy” “Bobo” Baurle, 85, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on August 1, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. On February 2, 1937, in Seymour, Indiana, he was born to the late Nick and Pearl (Bowman) Baurle. On May 7, 1955, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Riehl.

Louis was baptized, confirmed, married, and worked at St. Ambrose Catholic Church and school as well as Seymour Middle School. Mr. Baurle was also employed at Weyerhauser. Louis was an avid hunter and fisherman, he never met a stranger and loved to talk and tell stories. Most of all he loved spending time with his five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Riehl) Baurle; his children, Donna Disque, Gregg (Pam) Baurle, and Karen Clark; his brother, Donald Baurle; sister, Frieda Baurle; and sister-in-law, Doris Baurle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Pearl (Bowman) Baurle; his children Eddie Baurle, son in laws Steve Disque and Ritchey Clark, and brothers, Ralph Baurle, Darrell Baurle, Arthur Baurle, Shirley Baurle, Edward Baurle, and Buddy Baurle; sisters, Thelma Carr, and Helen Baurle; and aunts, Anna Baurle and Rose Baurle.

Rosary will be held at Voss and Sons at 9 am. Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 9:30am until 11:30am. Mass will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Church at 12pm. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
