Library planning preserving the harvest program

Mark Lyons from Green Thumb at Your Service will present “Virtual Preserving the Harvest” at 2 p.m. Aug. 12 in the Seymour Library meeting room, Crothersville Library meeting room or via Zoom.

Lyons will give options to preserve extra produce, including canning, freezing, dehydrating and other winter storage techniques. View it on the big screen at the Seymour or Crothersville libraries or contact the library to request the Zoom link to view from home. The program is sponsored by Friends of the Jackson County Public Library.

Registration is required for this free program for adults by going to myjclibrary.org/events or calling the Seymour Library at 812-523-4636 or the Crothersville Library at 812-793-2927 by Aug. 10.
