POMPANO BEACH, FL

Nancy Ann Schuerman LaMar, 70, of Pompano Beach, Florida; formerly of Seymour, Indiana; passed away on July 1, 2022 at Broward Medical Center Hospice in Ft. Lauderdale. She was born October 3, 1951 in Seymour to Alfred Frederick and Marlene Marie Moenning Schuerman. She was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church – Sauers with her confirmation verse taken from John 14:6.

She graduated from Seymour High School, class of 1969. On February 11, 1995, she married, Steven Robert LaMar, who preceded her in death on December 20, 1997. She retired as a Meat and Poultry Inspector with the US Department of Agriculture. She moved to Florida after her husband’s death and loved living there. She enjoyed sailing and photography.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Dean Schuerman.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sister, Jeanette (Buck) Chastain, her brother, Jon (Leann) Schuerman, her nieces and nephews, Amy (Brian) Tape, Jodi (Walter) Batman, Jason Schuerman, Justin (Whitney) Chastain, John (Maggie) Chastain, Scott Schuerman, Taylor Schuerman and several great nieces.

Nancy’s family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to Nancy’s cousin, Ramona Rule and to Doris Nash who cared for her.

According to Nancy’s wishes, a private graveside service was held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery – Sauers with Rev. Craig Mulbach officiating.
