LITTLE ELM, TX

Linsey Mildred-Marie Carter, 24, of Little Elm, TX, went to be with Jesus Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Frisco, TX. Linsey was born February 17, 1998 in Seymour, IN to Kevin and Amanda (Harbin) Carter.

Linsey was attending Texas Women’s University, majoring in Psychology. Her dream was to become a psychiatrist and own a Women’s shelter for abused women and children. She also wanted to open a sanctuary for homeless dogs. She advocated for anyone who was treated unfairly. She was a huge autism advocate and was a humanitarian for all.

Linsey was an avid reader from a very young age. She developed her love for books as a young child when her mother would take her to the library for read-a-thons. Her main hobby was reading, and she was so proud of her book collection she had acquired. Linsey created a YouTube channel, where she did makeup tutorials and reviewed books with her mom.

She loved to sing from a very early age. She had the voice of an angel and her presence on the stage was transcendent.

Linsey lived and breathed for her family. She loved them fiercely and genuinely. Her laughter was the song of our hearts, and she will be missed deeply. Linsey was authentically herself and unapologetic for being herself. We loved her for being Linsey.

Linsey is survived by her parents, Kevin and Amanda of Little Elm, TX; brother, Logan Carter of Little Elm, TX; paternal grandparents, Duane and LeEtta Carter of Seymour, IN; uncles, Jason Carter of Tampa, FL and Will Williams and wife Miranda of Omaha, NE; aunt, Jennie Smith and husband Gerald of Ardmore, AL; and cousins, Rebecca Davis (Shooter), Matthew Smith (Braley), Michael Smith, Jacob Williams, Caleb Williams, Addie Smith, Cason Davis, Reece Davis, and Leyton Zirbel.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry Donald Harbin and Claudia Jean Williams.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX with Pastor Elmer Cummings officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Linsey’s memory may be made to Operation Kindness (http://www.operationkindness.org). Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
