Seymour church hosting family summer event

Point Kids, the birth through fifth grade children’s ministry at The Point, is having a free event for families with kids in that age range.

Summer Jam is a celebration big enough for the whole family and seeks to provide a summer event that families can experience together and even take things they learn together back into their own home.

It’s set for 5 to 8 p.m. July 29 at the church, 311 Myers St., Seymour. Dinner will be provided at the beginning of the evening with lawn games and inflatables so families can socialize. The rest of the evening will include songs, games and contests the whole family will enjoy.

The highlight of the evening will be chalk artist Ben Glenn, known as “The Chalkguy.”

Guardian Bikes, a children’s bicycle company that recently moved its production to Seymour, has donated eight of its 20-inch Ethos bikes to be used for a drawing at Summer Jam.
