The service will begin at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church, 605 S. Walnut St.

All are welcome to attend. A meal will follow the service, which also will be livestreamed at immanuelseymour.com.

Pastor-elect Fredstrom served as a vicar at Immanuel for a year (2020 to 2021) and graduated with a Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He is completing his Ph.D. studies there, too.

In addition to sharing the ministry of preaching, teaching and visiting, he will be leading the congregation’s efforts to expand family life ministry and young adult ministry.

Born in Normal, Illinois, Fredstrom attended Concordia University Chicago, where he double majored in history and theological languages. He married Charlea Schueler on July 11, 2020. She earned her master’s degree in violin performance at Butler University and is employed at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
