Larry J Sharp, 80, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on June 30, 2022, at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1942, to the late Charles and Vera (Fretz) Sharp. On August 13, 1967, he married the love of life, Mary Alice Yegerlehner.

Larry was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and served on several committees at the church. He was a member of the NWTF, Ducks Unlimited, and was a member of the Land Improvement Contractors of America. Larry was a graduate of Clay City High School and Purdue University where he obtained his degree in Civil Engineering. He retired from Rust Construction. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed his family and enjoyed attending as many of his grandchildren’s events as he could.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Yegerlehner) Sharp; two sons, Michael Allen (Ginie) Sharp of Evansville, and Terry Brice (Bridgett) Sharp of West Lafayette; two sisters, Charlene (Rolf) Gerressen, and Janet Sharp; and six grandchildren, Parker Sharp, Connor Sharp, Addie Sharp, Charlie Sharp, Libby Sharp, and Henry Sharp.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vera (Fretz) Sharp.

Visitation will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Wednesday July 6, 2022, from 3pm to 7pm and on Thursday July 7, 2022, from 10am until time of service at 11am. On Friday July 8, 2022, there will be visitation from 11am until time of service at 1pm located at First United Church of Christ in Clay City, Indiana. Burial will follow the service at First United Church of Christ Cemetery, in Clay City, Indiana.
