Brownstown church hosting vacation Bible school

Brownstown Christian Church is preparing to host a unique vacation Bible school experience called Jerusalem Marketplace from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 11 to 15 at the church, 703 W. Spring St., Brownstown.

Kids will travel back in time to see, hear, touch and taste what it might have been like to live in first century Jerusalem during the week leading up to Jesus’ resurrection. This is an immersive adventure that will allow kids to explore the Bible in ways they never have before, according to a news release from the church.

Kids will witness daily Bible story dramas, attend synagogue school, play games, move to music and build friendships within their tribes. They also will get to explore the bustling marketplace, where they can engage all five senses as they work as apprentices in different shops and interact with Bible-times characters.

This free program is for kids who are 4 years old through those going into sixth grade. Preregister online at vbspro.events/p/events/bcc22. Walk-ins are welcome, but preregistration will save time and make the check-in process smoother upon arrival. Doors open each day at 6:15 p.m.

For information, call 812-358-4172 or email the children’s ministry director at [email protected].
