Ride to benefit girl with bone cancer

Bella Boo’s Country Ride is set for July 16 starting and ending at Cornerstone Community Church, 1088 Sarasota Drive, Seymour.

Ride check-in and signups for a raffle and a silent auction are from 9 to 10:45 a.m., and the ride through Jackson County will depart at 11 a.m. All vehicle types are welcome.

The cost is $20 per vehicle, $5 for one extra rider and $10 for two or more. For each vehicle that preregisters, a person will receive a free T-shirt. Additional shirts will cost $15.

Preregister on the Bella Boo’s Country Ride event page on Facebook and pay via PayPal or register at N Stylz Hair Design, 414 W. Second St., Suite A, Seymour, and pay cash. Send PayPal payment to [email protected].

Participants will return to the church between 1 and 1:30 p.m. A freewill donation lunch will start at 1:30 p.m., and signups for the raffle and silent auction will end at 2 p.m. Drawings will take place at 2:15 p.m., and you must be present to win.

Proceeds will benefit Isabella “Bella” Campbell, who was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma (bone cancer) on Nov. 19, 2021. She has completed 13 weeks of chemotherapy. After finishing her first regimen of treatment, she had a surgery to have her leg amputated. On April 29, she started her next regimen of chemo. Campbell’s goal is to get a prosthetic so she can do gymnastics and dance.

She attends Cornerstone and went to Margaret R. Brown Elementary School in Seymour before her family moved to Scott County last year.
