Randall “Randy” Mark Fields, 72, of Crothersville, IN, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 3:03 PM. Randy was born on Friday, June 17, 1949, in Fort Knox, KY. He was the son of Merl Louis Fields and Catherine (Pierce) Fields. Randy was a 1967 Crothersville High School graduate.

He worked at Morgan Foods when he was a teenager and after that, he was hired at Cummins in 1968 and worked for 45 years until he retired in 2013.

On December 23, 1971, Randy married Brenda (Wade) Fields in Seymour, IN. Randy was a big UK basketball fan, he enjoyed watching his grandkid’s sports activities and spending time with his dog, Lucy.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda (Wade) Fields, daughter, Jill (Jody Rudicel) Nienaber of North Vernon, IN, 2 grandchildren, Kordell (Dakota) Nienaber, Zane Nienaber, 1 great-grandson, Merrick Nienaber, and 1 great-granddaughter due in October 2022, 3 brothers, Merl Louis Fields Jr., Jeff (Ann) Fields, John Fields, 4 sisters, Kathy (Donnie) Haskett, Karen (Steve) Mattox, Tina (Charlie) Fish, and Nancy (Tony) Ladd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merl Louis Fields and Catherine (Pierce) Fields, and sister-in-law, Pam Fields.

Pastor Danny Kessler will conduct funeral services on Friday, June 17, 2022, Randy’s 73rd birthday at 11:00 A.M. at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Crothersville. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service, all at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Crothersville.
