Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving Inc. will reduce State Road 11 traffic to one lane with a temporary traffic signal on or after Monday to complete a superstructure replacement project over East Fork White River overflow in Jackson County.

The bridge, located roughly 2 miles north of State Road 258 just north of Rockford, will remain under construction for up to 120 days.

In addition to State Road 11 bridge construction, contract crews plan to close State Road 258 over East Fork White River overflow in Jackson County to complete another superstructure replacement project. The bridge is located just east of the river and will remain fully closed for up to 120 days. An official start date will be announced.

The $3.9 million contract was awarded to E&B in March 2022 and has an overall completion date of Oct. 31. Roadside work will continue into 2023 but with minimal impacts to traffic.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, take caution and be vigilant of workers and equipment through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
