Indiana Department of Transportation contractor RAM Construction Services plans to close Farmington Road (County Road 275N) over Interstate 65 near Seymour on Saturday to complete a bridge deck overlay project.

The road is expected to close just west of U.S. 31 at approximately 6 a.m. Saturday and reopen by 7 p.m. Sunday. The overpass was most recently planned to close for up to 14 days, but that duration has been shortened. Traffic will be rerouted to U.S. 31, U.S. 50 and County Road 1040E.

The $300,000 bridge rehabilitation contract also includes deck overlays at three locations on State Road 7 in Jennings County — at Nettle Creek, Sand Creek and Sixmile Creek.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
