The Brownstown Central boys golf team shot a season-best round of 165 on Tuesday to defeat Salem at Western Hills Golf Course. The Lions shot a 183.

Caiden Gwin was the medalist for Brownstown with a season-best round of 38. Chandler Stahl shot a 39, Connor Gwin carded a 43 and Matthew Reedy and Jaren Cunningham each shot 45s.

Smith Hackman shot a 47, Elix Preston 48 and Caden Waskom 48.

Tuesday marked the Braves’ final regular-season match before sectional, which takes place Monday at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington.

Brownstown has been shooting some of its best golf over the past few weeks, so the Braves are peaking at the right time ahead of the postseason.
