Kasting Park in Seymour suffered significant damage due to Thursday night’s storms and will be closed for at least a week due to insurance purposes.

January Rutherford, public information specialist for the city, said people should avoid the park for safety reasons until further notice.

No tournaments, games or practices will be held at the park until cleanup and repairs have been made.
