Vote centers open for Election Day

Today is the primary election in Jackson County, and there are seven vote center locations for registered voters to fill out their ballots before they close at 6 p.m.

Jackson County voters can go to any of the sites, regardless of their voting precinct.

The vote centers are at Calvary Baptist Church, 1202 N. Ewing St., Seymour; Jackson County Learning Center, 323 Dupont Drive, Seymour; Fraternal Order of Police Donald M. Winn Lodge 108, 1752 First Ave., Seymour; enclosed shelter house at Brownstown Park, 715 W. Bridge St., Brownstown; Medora Christian Church, 76 S. George St., Medora; Freetown Community Center, 6789 N. Union St., Freetown; and First Baptist Church of Crothersville, 305 E. Howard St., Crothersville.

A photo ID is required to vote.

According to Indiana Secretary of State Holli Sullivan’s office, more than 155,000 Hoosiers have already cast their ballots, including more than 120,000 who voted during the in-person early voting period. That period ended at noon Monday.
