The Crothersville Community School Corp. board of education will have a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the central administration building, 201 S. Preston St., Crothersville.

The purpose of the meeting, open to the public and press, is to take an official vote on the superintendent’s contract and employment.

A public hearing was conducted April 21 to give people an opportunity to express support or objection to a contract between the board and the superintendent. After that, the board announced Chrystal Street had accepted its offer to be the corporation’s new superintendent.

The next step is to consider approval of the contract and hiring. If approved, the three-year contract will start July 1.
