The Jackson County Public Library board of trustees will have a special meeting at 3 p.m. Friday at the library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

The purpose of the meeting, which is open to the public and press, is to consider an insurance proposal.

The board also will meet in executive session at 2:45 p.m. That is closed to the public and press.
