Jewell Wehmiller, 94, of rural Crothersville, IN passed away at 11:00 PM on Friday, April 15, 2022, at her home. Jewell was born on Wednesday, January 25, 1928, in Bedford, IN. She is the daughter of Jesse and Mabel (Reuter) Wagner. On December 8, 1946, in Dudleytown, IN, Jewell married Lester L. Wehmiller who preceded her in death, 39 years ago on April 24, 1983. Jewell was a homemaker and a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Dudleytown. She was a charter member of the Crothersville VFW Post #1083 and was active in the Ladies VFW Auxillary. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and working puzzles. Survivors include her 3 sons, Gary (Kathy) Wehmiller, Lonny (Mariella) Wehmiller, and Tracey (Kathy) Wehmiller, 10 grandchildren, Jeffery (Diane) Wehmiller, Angela Wehmiller, Lani (Dennis) McIntosh, Chad (Thea) Wehmiller, Nathan (Alivia) Wehmiller, Ashley (Hayden) Schuffett, Brittany (Josh) Bales, Marie (Jordan) O’Donnell, Jay (Brooklyn) Wehmiller, and Morgan (Brady) Wehmiller, 14 3/4 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Jesse (Linda) Wagner, 1 sister, Frances McVicker, and 1 sister in law, Donna Downing. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Mabel Wagner, husband, Lester L. Wehmiller, an infant daughter, 3 brothers, Arnold, Sheldon, and Raymond Wagner, 3 sisters, Cledith Williams, Avola Hurley, and Margaret Tabor. Reverend Kenneth Davidson will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Dudleytown, with a burial to follow at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Home &Crematory in Crothersville and after 10:00 AM on Wednesday at church.
