Mrs. Debra Ann Schroer Lutz, age 65, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on February 23, 1957 in Seymour, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Harold Willis and Laretha Janiel Hehman Schroer. She was raised in Dudleytown and was a 1975 graduate of Seymour High School. She first worked for Lear Siegler in Seymour, Indiana and she met Dennis Lutz. They were united in marriage on November 18, 1978 at the West Madison United Methodist Church. This happy union of 43 years was blessed with a son, Eric. The family settled in Madison and she had worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation, the Dollar General Stores and for 15 years she worked in all positions for the Midway Grocery Store near her home. She loved to make wreaths, travel, bake, play games, scrap booking, and her dog, Java. She was a member of the Hanover United Methodist Church in Hanover, Indiana. Debbie died on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 3:55 p.m.at her home near Madison, Indiana.

Debbie will be missed by her loving husband of 43 years, Dennis R. Lutz of Madison, Indiana; her loving son, Eric Lutz and his wife, Erin of Hanover, Indiana; her adoring granddaughter, Sydney Lutz; her brothers, Kevin Schroer of Seymour, Indiana, Rex Schroer and his wife, Debbie of Acme, Indiana; her brothers in law, Larry Lutz and his wife, Vonda of Sebring, Florida, Terry Lutz of Hanover, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Schroer, died January 25, 2012, her mother, Laretha Hehman Schroer, died October 9, 2011, her brother, Neal Allen Schroer, died January 13, 1991, her sister in law, Melanie Schroer, died November 6, 2010, her father in law and mother in law, Charles O. Lutz, died October 30, 2010 and Genieve Lutz, died March 16, 2002.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Brynen Chitwood at the Morgan &Nay Funeral Centre – Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens,9306 North US 421 near Madison, Indiana.

Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan &Nay Funeral Centre – Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana.
