Carolyn Sue (Clampitt) Thompson, of Medora, forever entered into rest on the early morning of April 4, 2022, at The Lutheran Community Home of Seymour. She was 78 years old.

Carolyn entered this life in Seymour on December 27, 1943. She was the second daughter and third child born to the loving parents, Fred and Doris (George) Clampitt. She was the sister to Dick, Albert, Mary, and Cathy.

She was united in marriage to Herman R. Brown and from this union, Carolyn and Herman was blessed with a son, Robert “Bobby”. Herman preceded. Carolyn later married Kenneth “Skin” Thompson and he has also preceded.

Carolyn spent most of her life in Medora. She was a graduate from Medora Community School and was a member of the Medora Christian Church. Carolyn was a hard worker, and she took pride in her work. She worked for the Medora Plastics Factory until the factory was closed, and then she went to work for Aisin until her retirement. After Carolyn retired, she enjoyed volunteering at the Medora Hornet’s Nest and at the Carr Township Conservation Club.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a grandma.

Carolyn will be missed by her loving family, son Bobby Brown and his wife Cathy of Seymour, two grandsons, Tyler Brown and his wife Ashley of Seymour, and Zack Brown and fianc? Hailey of Louisville, and two great-grandchildren Easton Brown and Maddalynn Grace Brown, brothers, Dick Clampitt and his wife Betty of Medora, Albert Clampitt and his wife Joetta of Seymour, and sister Cathy Callahan of Clear Springs

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Mary Martin.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at Hague Funeral Home on Friday April 8, 2022, at 11:00 am with Pastor Rob Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Proctor Cemetery-Dixon Chapel

Friends may visit at Hague Funeral Home of Medora on Thursday April 7, 2022, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Friday after 10:00 am until time of the service.

Memorials may be written to the Lutheran Community Home, Carr Township Conservation Club, Medora Christian Church, or Schneck Hospice.
