Brenda Jeanne Johnson, 81, of Paris Crossing, IN, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. Brenda was born on Monday, October 28, 1940, in Scottsburg, IN. She is the daughter of James and Mary Esther (Mitchell) Jeffries who are both deceased. Brenda was a 1959 Austin High School graduate. On January 14, 1961, in Austin, IN, she married Reed Johnson Jr. who survives in Paris Crossing, IN. Brenda liked to be outdoors and was a phenomenal homemaker. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for special occasions. She loved to work puzzles, play video games, color pictures, spend time, and cater to all the needs and wants of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved and adored immensely. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Reed Johnson Jr, of Paris Crossing, IN, 2 sons, Jeff (Shirley) Johnson of Paris Crossing, IN and Brian (Jodie) Johnson of Scottsburg, IN, 5 grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica) Johnson of Commiskey, IN, Victoria (Michael) Deckard of Seymour, IN, Jeffrey (Anna) Johnson of Bedford, IN, Lillian Johnson of Seymour, IN, and Mikyla Peres of Louisville, KY, 9 great-grandchildren, Addy, Emory, Bella, Hensley, Elaina, Henry, Carter, Corbin, Oaklynn, and 1 great-grandson on the way, to be born on April ?, 2022, 1 brother, James Thomas (Robin) Jeffries of Commiskey, IN, and a dear friend of the family, Annette Johnson of Seymour, IN. Pastor Damon Marling will conduct a private graveside service and burial will take place at First Marion Baptist Church Cemetery in Paris Crossing, IN.
