The Jackson County Public Library is offering in-person and virtual programs for teens ages 12 to 19 and adults this month.

Program location and/or cancellation may depend on county COVID-19 status.

Get some new ideas for your Easter dinner at 5 p.m. Wednesday during the Crothersville Library Easter recipe swap. Registration is required by Monday with a limit of eight participants.

Make a do-it-yourself sock bunny at 4:30 p.m. April 13 at the Crothersville Library. Registration is required by April 11 with a limit of eight participants.

Money Smart Week programs will be held for adults and teens ages 15 and older in the Seymour Library meeting room. Topics presented by a JCBank representative will include information about what’s needed for a bank account at 4 p.m. April 11 and how to write a check at 4 p.m. April 14.

Local historian Kevin Greene will lead a historic walking tour of the Seymour boulevards at 1 p.m. April 23. Participants will meet at The Brooklyn Pizza Co. Registration is required April 21 with a limit of 12 participants.

Celebrate National Poetry Month with author Ross Gay. This virtual program hosted by Bartholomew, Brown and Jackson County public libraries will be at 6 p.m. April 28 over Zoom and Facebook Live. Call 812-523-4636 for Zoom login.

Learn about the 1950 Census data release and how to use those records for your family history at 2 p.m. April 30 at the Seymour Library. Registration is required by April 28.

Gamers ages 13 to 18 are invited to join the JCPL Teen Discord server at 4 p.m. April 7 for Scribble It!

Stop in the Seymour Teen Scene during virtual reality gaming between 2 and 4 p.m. April 9 to play games on the PlayStation VR.

Teens also are invited to join the Teen Advisory Group, which will meet at 4 p.m. April 25 in the Seymour Teen Scene. Attendees should obtain an application to return before future meetings.

Seymour teens are invited to a Scene Reading book discussion at 2 p.m. April 26. The group will discuss “Kind of a Big Deal” by Shannon Hale.

Learn to make and compete with balloon jousts in the Seymour Teen Scene at 4 p.m. April 28. Registration is required by April 26, and participation is limited eight in grades 9 to 12.
