Robert Engle

Robert “Bob” Lee Engle Sr. 88 of Seymour, IN passed away at Schneck Medical Center on March 28, 2022. He was born 1933, in Marion Township, Jennings County, Indiana to the late Lawrence “Jack” and Mary Louanna Mousa.
He married Thelma Irene Royalty in 1954, in Uniontown, Indiana and she survives.
Bob was a member of First Marion Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked at Abrahams Construction, owned a bulldozing business, drove a semi hauling logs for ten years, and owned a Home Healthcare business for ten years. He loved family time especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His faith was unbreakable, and he was extremely devoted to his church. Everyone talks about loving to hear him pray. He passed on this love for Christ to everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife, son, Robert (Michelle) Engle Jr., son-in-law, Richard Scroggins; grandchildren Stacie Mason, Richanda Hahn, Blake Scroggins, Brandon Johnson, Brittany Engle, Trista Engle, Ashley Riley, Brian Cody Simmons, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Engle, Don (Nancy) Engle, and David (Bertha) Engle; three sisters Joan Shull, Wanda Kiste, and Carolyn Brown, sister-in-law Mildred Engel and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Katherine Jean Engle Scroggins, grandson Clint Scroggins, great granddaughters Addyson “Addy” Engle and Blakely Scroggins, great grandson Keghan McCrory-Engle, brother Charles Engel, sister-in-law Wanda Engle, and brothers in law Elmer Ross, Jim Shull, Hubert Kiste, and John Brown.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 1, 2022, at Voss and Sons Funeral Service from 4-8 pm. Visitation will also be held Saturday April 2, at First Marion Baptist Church from 12pm until the time of service at 1pm with Pastor Jeff Hood officiating. Burial will follow at First Marion Baptist Cemetery.
