Sharon K. Curry, age 79, of Brownstown, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton, Florida.

Ms. Curry was a member of the Brownstown Christian Church.

Sharon graduated from Clearspring High School in 1961, and she attended Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. She was a retired USDA inspector and an active member of the National Retired Federal Employees Association.

Sharon enjoyed watching sports, especially IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. Her favorite past times included watching game shows, shopping, working crossword puzzles, bird watching, and most of all spending time with her family.

Born on February 14, 1943, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Wayne E. (Gene) and Mary Lou Fish Davis, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Jeffrey Isaacs, and her beloved pet, Presley Aaron. Sharon married James H. (Jim) Curry on June 3, 1962. They were married for 39 years.

Survivors include three children: Sheri (Kevin) Wilson, Jimmy (Debbie) Curry, and Nancy (James) Collings: seven grandchildren: Jennifer (William) Burnside, Jamey (Ericha) Wilson, Jeana (Chad) Beam, Alivia (Nathan) Wehmiller, Tyler (Laura) Collings, Landon (Sidney) Curry, and Matthew Collings: nine great-grandchildren: Jalen Curry, Josslyn Burnside, Avery Wilson, Mallory Wilson, Addison Johns, Jacoby Barr, Jaxon Barr, Riley Wilson, and Lorelei Johns; two step great-grandchildren: Blaine Wehmiller and Tatum Wehmiller; one great-great-grandchild, Jace Henley; one niece; and several nephews and cousins.

Funeral arrangements for Sharon K. Curry will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Karlyn McPike officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Norman.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown.
