The Indiana Department of Transportation plans close State Road 135 between U.S. 50 and State Road 58 in Jackson County on Wednesday and Thursday for two culvert replacement projects.

Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews plan to implement daily closures next week to replace two culverts in Jackson County.

The road will close from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday weather permitting.

State Road 135 will close between County Road 300N and County Road 400N on Wednesday and between County Road 475W and County Road 540N on Thursday. Both are located between U.S. 50 and State Road 58. Local access will be maintained for residents within each closure, while thru traffic should use an alternate route.

INDOT reminds drivers to use extra caution, avoid distractions and consider worker safety when traveling through active work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
