Maxine Frakes, 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at her residence. She was born on February 13, 1947 in Blocher, Indiana, the daughter of the late Herbert and Lettie Mae (Howard) Campbell. Maxine was a retired laborer from the old I.C.I. America in Charlestown, Indiana where she worked for 10 years and was also a former employee of GE in Gainesville, Florida. She was a member of the Scott County VFW Post #6582 Ladies Auxiliary and a past member of the Seymour Moose Lodge #418. Maxine enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. On April 17, 1993 she married Kenneth A. “Kenny” Frakes, who passed away on December 2, 2017. In addition to her parents and husband Maxine is preceded in death by her four brothers, Kenneth, Hubert, Paul, and Saul Campbell; and two sisters, RosiaLee Haney and Kathyleen Petty. Survivors include two sons, Roger Campbell of Scottsburg, Indiana and Rodney (Jo Ann) Campbell of Seymour, Indiana; daughter, Angela Doebler of Scottsburg, Indiana; stepson, David Frakes of Bell Air, Maryland; stepdaughter, Diana Mendenez of Helotes, Texas; twin sister, Josephine Kamman of Austin, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Elza Applegate (Patience), Chaynee Kendall (Joseph), Kara Helton (Liam), Alex Pierson (Donavon Brinley), Nicole Meaders (Nick), Tyler Campbell, and Keanen Campbell; and seven great grandchildren, Lawson, Cora, Blair, Leighton, Everly, Ella, Jensen, and another on the way. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Prather officiating. Visitation: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, March 6, 2022, and after 10:00 am Monday, March 7, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
