SEYMOUR

Mr. Glen H. Waldkoetter, 89, of Seymour passed away on March 1, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born in 1932 in Seymour he was the son of Herman and Emma (Schrier) Waldkoetter.

He married Lois Jean Murphy in 1951. On August 31, 1971, he married D. Anita VanEssen who preceded him in death August 19, 1993. He married Delores K. “Dee” (Taylor) Hendrix in 1994 and she preceded him in death in April of 2019.

Glen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a salesman and business manager for John Bottorff Ford and for a car dealership in West Palm Beach, FL. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 89. A retired pilot, he was a member of Southern Indiana Flying Eagles which is a Charter Club of A of MA &Academy of Model Aeronautics. Glen sold and serviced remote controlled airplanes for several years.

He is survived by his children, Paula Albers and Larry (Anna) Waldkoetter; 2 grandchildren; Rachel (Lance) Mails and Celine Grider, 8 great grandchildren, sister Helen Schryer, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, and sisters Ruth Goecker and Norma Whitsett.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 7, 2022, at Voss and Sons Funeral Service from 11:30 until the time of service at 1:30 pm.

Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
