Rebecca Lee Antionette “Becca” Borgman, 23 of Seymour, IN passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. She was born September 19, 1998 in Columbus, IN to Darren and Stacy Culp Borgman. Becca was sweet, smart, funny and very witty. She brought great joy to her friends and family while growing up and becoming the beautiful young lady she was. She had a beautiful soul and had the ability to be so caring to others while maintaining a stubborn streak that was impossible to break. It was the greatest joy in her life being a mommy to her son, Kyler, and their love for one another was a pleasure to see. It is no secret that Becca had many struggles in life, and we know she would want us to speak openly about them in order to help others that are struggling. In the final days of her life, Becca had made a commitment to recovery through rehabilitation in order to free herself from the struggles of life so she could gain a peaceful happy life. Although we did not get the outcome we had hoped for, Becca did gain the peace she was seeking through another commitment, and that was her commitment to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Over the past few months of struggles and health issues, her faith never wavered, and for that we will be forever blessed with the assurance that we will meet again in heaven. We will treasure our memories of her forever. She attended Columbus East High School where she played volleyball and graduated from Seymour High School in 2018. Becca worked as a server at Rails in Seymour. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Rick and Velda Pearson and great-grandparents, Paul Borgman and Everett and Margaret Brown. Surviving to cherish her memory are her parents, Darren Borgman and Stacy Borgman, her son, Kyler James Beck, her brother, Cory Borgman, her sister, Rikki Dial, her grandparents, Larry and Connie Borgman and great-grandmother, Jenet Borgman.

Private family services were held with Pastor Matthew Jung officiating. Interment followed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Jonesville. Arrangements entrusted to Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN 47274.

Memorials may be given in Becca’s memory to The Alley through Burkholder Chapel.
