Seymour-based JCBank announced Thursday plans to open a new banking center in Johnson County in the new Swartz Crossing Development at State Road 135 and Stones Crossing Road.

The location will be the bank’s 12th banking center in south central Indiana and the fourth to open since 2017.

Over the past few years, the JCBank team, which includes Jim Gray, Mark Maloney, Dave Richardson and Jason Knight, have cultivated customer and community relationships leading to the bank’s commitment to construct the nearly 4,800-square-foot full-service banking center.

In addition to personal banking services, the location will offer commercial and mortgage lending and wealth management services.

“We are excited about our recent growth trends in commercial banking and plan to support this growth with our wealth management and mortgage divisions,” said Marvin Veatch, president and chief executive officer of JCBank. “Over the last three years, the Johnson County market has been an important part of JCBank’s success.”

Gray, vice president/commercial banker and treasury management leader, handles the commercial line of business along with support from Richardson, vice president/commercial banker. Maloney, vice president of retail lending, is responsible for sales management and business development within the JCBank mortgage division, while Knight, vice president of retail banking, provides leadership to the retail banking operations.

Veatch also thanked the team of JCBank employees who participated in the development of this full-service branch. He said the anticipated opening date for the new branch would be in late third quarter or early fourth quarter.

JCBank, headquartered in Seymour, was established in 1900.
