SEYMOUR

Katherine Smith, 76, of Seymour, Indiana passed away February 20, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in 1945, to the late Marvin and Yvonne Lutes. On April 13, 1965, she married the love of her life the late James Patrick “Pat” Smith.

Katherine was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed cross-stitching, building doll houses, reading, and vacationing on the beach. Most of all, she loved her family.

She is survived by her son Chris (Linda) Smith, her grandchildren; Parker Richard Smith, Olivia Paige Smith, and Madilynn Grace Smith, her brothers; Don (Denise) Lutes, David (Bethany) Lutes, her sisters; Susan (Larry) Whitworth, Pam Lutes, and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Pat Smith, her son; Rich Smith, her parents; Marvin and Yvonne Lutes, her sister; Pat Lutes, and her great nephew Nicholas Roussin.

Visitation will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday February 25, 2022, from 1pm to 2pm with service to follow at 2pm. Immanuel Lutheran Church is located at 605 S Walnut St, Seymour, Indiana 47274.

Family is requesting memorial contribution to be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in care of Voss and Sons Funeral Service in lieu of flowers or plants.
