Raymond Lee Wheeler, of Brownstown, passed away peacefully on the evening of February 16, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 64 years old.

Ray entered this life on February 25, 1957 in Seymour, Indiana. He was the loving son of Jim Wheeler and Linda (Pferrer) Roll. He was the older brother of Barb, Eric, and Leigh-Ann. He was a graduate of Brownstown Central High School, Class of 1975.

Ray spent most of his life in Jackson County, never traveling far from his family. “Moose” could usually be found at McDonald’s in Brownstown eating breakfast with his buddies or sitting in front of a TV watching a good NASCAR race. Ray worked as a supervisor for Mid-West Environmental, AM/PM Express as an expedite driver, and worked at Jim’s Marathon for his dad &stepmom, Linda.

Raymo will be missed by his siblings, Barb LeMarr and her husband Clyde of Brownstown, Eric Roll and his wife Paula of Brownstown, and Leigh-Ann Murphin and her husband Patrick of Tampico, his stepmother, Linda Wheeler of Tampico, nephews, Brian LeMarr , Matt LeMarr and his wife Chancla, Keegan Roll, Chaney Roll and his wife Caitlin, Jaylen Roll, and nieces, Lauren Spencer and her husband Drake, and Lindsey Hobson and her husband Gunnar, great nephews, Owen Bowers, Colson Roll, and Bohdi Hobson, and a great niece Addison LeMarr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather, Andy Roll.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday February 21, 2022, at Zabel Funeral Home of Brownstown.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Acme, Indiana.

Friends may call at Zabel Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 until time of the service.
