At 4:43 AM, at Schneck Medical Center, Dennis closed his eyes in Seymour, Indiana and opened them on the Sunny Banks of the Sweet By and By. He was born on May 5, 1942 to the late Ralph Barnes and the late Marie (Jewell) Barnes. “Do You Know The Lord”? that is the words that you would hear if Dennis was having a conversation with you, he wanted to make sure that you knew his Lord Jesus. Dennis was a 53 year member of The Tabernacle Church where he served as a former board member, teen Sunday School Teacher and orchestra member where he played the steel guitar. He enjoyed music, fishing, hunting, Louie Lamour books and above all his family. Dennis had the Ministry of Encouragement. He wanted to know how you were doing, putting his own afflictions aside and focusing on people, letting them know they they can make it. He was a kind, gentle man with a funny sense of humor that never sought the spotlight but thrived to work behind the scenes.
