STAUNTON, VA.

Lester E. Silence of Staunton, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA. Lester was born on April 11, 1946, in Seymour, IN, to the late Melvin and Catherine Silence of Brownstown, IN.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Prince Silence, daughter Micheal Estremera (Daniel), of Huntsville, AL, daughter Angela Howe (Mike) of Columbus, IN, and son Charles Silence (Kathy) of Columbus, IN. Grandchildren include Amanda, Ariel, Benjamin, Cody, Chance, Chanie, and Enron as well as 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Tracy Silence, brother Larry Silence and sister Linda Silence Meyer.

Lester had a long career in the automotive industry which started in Medford, IN, and took him all over the US. He enjoyed working in his yard, woodworking and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
