Seymour Mayor Matt Nicholson has teamed up with Brewskies Downtown, The Brooklyn Pizza Co. and Seymour Main Street for a fun way to celebrate a snow day — a snowman contest.

First place will get their choice of a $25 gift card from Brewskies or Brooklyn, second place will get whichever gift card first place didn’t choose and third place will get a Seymour Main Street discount card, which can be used at many downtown businesses.

Here’s how the contest works: Build a snowman by yourself, with your family and/or friends, take a picture of your snowman and post it in the comment section on the contest post at facebook.com/seymourin and use the hashtag #MayorMattsSnowmanContest2022.

The mayor encourages people to dress warm and only build during safe temperatures.

Winners will be announced one day next week.
