Seymour’s Gamma Phi chapter of Tri Kappa held its monthly business meeting Tuesday at the home of Andi Bukowski assisted by social committee members Melissa Westfall and Karen Haas.
Marla Sciarra, co-chairwoman of the Just for Fun committee, arranged for an opportunity for members to relax with mini massages from Kim Baxter.
Members reviewed some of the stats from the fall nut sale and looked ahead to upcoming events, including the Tri Kappa Mad Dash scheduled for April 2. Service projects also are planned for the coming months, and the group also will be welcoming prospective members at events later this month and next.
As spring approaches, the chapter is preparing to disburse funds to worthy causes in the community, including scholarships for high school students and grants for local organizations.
Groups with projects promoting Tri Kappa’s aims of supporting charity, culture and education are invited to apply for grants. Applications are due March 15. Contact any Seymour Tri Kappa member to apply.
