Jackson County Drug-Free Council offering grants

0

The Jackson County Drug-Free Council now has grants available for local funding to address the use and misuse of alcohol, marijuana, prescriptions and illegal narcotics in the county.

Anyone may apply for funding to be considered that meets the criteria in the categories of prevention/education, treatment/intervention and law enforcement/justice.

The application can be found online at drugfreecouncil.org and is due by March 1.

Grant applications are reviewed by the local grant review committee of Jackson County Drug-Free Council for recommendations to county commissioners and must be approved by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Behavioral Health Division.

Applications must address the SMART goals of the Comprehensive Community Plan prepared annually by the Jackson County Drug-Free Council.
