Student and parents trying to navigate college applications can receive assistance during an upcoming event.

College Readiness Night is set for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Jackson County Learning Center, 323 Dupont Drive, Seymour.

The event, organized by the learning center and Boys and Girls Club of Seymour, will provide a space for students and families to feel prepared to apply for financial aid, housing and school.

Professionals from the Boys and Girls Club, learning center, Juntos 4-H, Jobs for America’s Graduates and Seymour High School will be available as support in applying for scholarships and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and sharing information on local colleges.
