A National Lutheran Schools Week drive-thru barbecue will follow the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1108 S. County Road 460E, Seymour.

The menu will include pork burgers, Sauers’ famous potato salad, baked beans, chips and a cookie.

A freewill donation will be collected.

During the week of Jan. 24 to 28, St. John’s Lutheran School Sauers will celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week with all other Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod schools in the nation under the theme “In All Things” (Col. 1:15-16).

Sauers also is collecting boxes of cereal for Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry and Community Provisions of Jackson County, both in Seymour, through Jan. 28. They may be dropped off at the school or placed in the box in the church’s narthex.
