Due to a lack of heat in the building, the Jackson County Public Library closed at noon Monday and hopes to reopen midweek.
The library board of trustees meeting that was scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Monday in the meeting room of the Seymour Library has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday if the heat is fixed.
Library staff will be checking telephones and email and working from home from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day during the closing.
If anyone needing assistance isn’t comfortable leaving a phone message or email for staff, the Medora Library is open from 2 to 6 p.m. today. For information, call that branch at 812-966-2278.
