Jason Hillenburg began serving as president of the Crothersville Town Council in September 2021, and he will continue in that role in 2022.

During the first meeting of the new year Tuesday night, Hillenburg was unanimously chosen president as the council organized for the year.

He stepped into that role when President Danieta Foster resigned from her position to accept the role of the town’s clerk-treasurer in August 2021. Aaron Mays filled the vacancy on the council, and Terry Richey was voted vice president of the five-member council.

For 2022, Jamy Greathouse was unanimously chosen as vice president, and Mays and Richey remain on the council along with Chad Wilson.

Also remaining in their positions this year are Duane Davis as the town’s Indiana Department of Homeland Security representative and Curt Kovener as the town’s Jackson County Industrial Development Corp. representative.

The council also voted to keep meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the town hall, 111 E. Howard St., Crothersville. Meetings are open to the public and press and also can be viewed on Facebook Live at facebook.com/townofcrothersville.
