The first meeting of the year for the Jackson County commissioners is planned for 9 a.m. Tuesday in the courthouse at 111 S. Main St., Brownstown.

Agenda items include discussion for renewal of the country casualty and liability insurance with Beatty Insurance, Seymour; a request to vacate an alley in Freetown; and discussion for approval for a contract with the county attorney.

Commissioners meeting are open to the public and press.
