The Jackson County Public Library board of trustees will meet at 4:30 p.m. today in the meeting room of the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Agenda items include Kathy Ellis taking the oath of office, adoption of the consent agenda, a staff report by administrative assistant Rhonda Fitzwater and a report from Library Director Julia Aker.

There also will be a discussion of finances, claims and dockets and a report by the nominating committee on election of officers.

Board meetings are open to the public and press. Any member of the public wishing to speak during the board meeting should contact Aker prior to the meeting.
